How to Get Over the Tuesday Blues

September 19, 2017

Tuesday is definitely better than Monday. You're starting to get back into the groove for the week, but...Friday still seems far away.

So how can you get over the Tuesday blues and make every day feel more like the weekend?

Make a point to take your lunch break

Nowadays, it seems that most people eat at their desk and just keep working. But making an effort to eat in the break room, or simply unplugging and going for a 15 minute walk can be a nice way to break up the day and relax you. Try taking a walk and calling your boyfriend or spouse or maybe your mom while they do the same thing on their lunch.

Have a Tuesday night cocktail

When you get home from work Tuesday night, treat yourself to a nice drink. Maybe a nice glass of wine or a craft beer. Just because it's not the weekend doesn't mean you can't enjoy the finer things in life.

Workout in the morning

Everyone knows that working out boosts your mood  and can make you feel like a million dollars. It's a great way to start your day and could give you the endorphins you need to tackle your day at work.

Start the day with a big breakfast

For some reason, just the act of having a bigger breakfast can make it feel like Saturday. Try getting up a little earlier so you can make yourself an omelet, or even pancakes. Why not?! Guarantee your day will be better if you start it with pancakes.

Go home on your lunch and take a power nap

If you live close to work, why not take a 20 minute power nap? It'll feel amazing and you'll probably be more productive in the afternoon.

Do something you love

Every day should involve you doing something that you love to do. Whatever that may be is up to you. Make time for it and you'll be happier.
