Roc City Rib Fest, Rochester’s Only Premier BBQ and Music Festival, is gearing up for another “don’t miss” event on Memorial Day Weekend at Genesee Valley Park.
Roc City Rib Fest kicks off Friday night, May 22nd and runs through Monday, May 25th. The entry fee into the festival is $5 for adults and a portion of the proceeds benefits The Golisano Children’s Hospital. Children under 12 years of age are free. Parking is also free at the University of Rochester Parking Lot.
If you enjoy live music and eating great BBQ, or just looking for an exciting and unique way to spend Memorial Day with your family or close friends – you will not want to miss this event!

What: 5K run and 3K walk fundraiser benefitting the family of Officer Daryl Pierson. All proceeds from the fundraiser will be donated to the Pierson family as a contribution to Officer Pierson's childrens' college tuition fund. There will also be concessions and a "50/50" raffle held after the run/walk. Find pricing information below.

Where: Mendon Ponds Park, Mendon NY ***HOWEVER, we are anticipating a large turnout for this event and recommend that participants consider parking at Mendon High School, and using the free transportation provided to get to and from the park. This will prove especially important to participants who arrive closer to 10:00 a.m. than 8:00 a.m. For those who decide to drive directly to the park, there will be parking, however it will be provided on a first come, first serve basis, and you may be asked to drive to Mendon High School and arrive via the shuttle. The shutle will be available afterwards to return to Mendon High School as well. The starting point for the run/walk will be near the Canfieldwoods Shelter, off of Douglas Road.
When: Saturday, May 30th. The run/walk will begin at 11:00 a.m., and registration will begin at 8:00 a.m. We are asking that participants arrive at as close to 8 a.m. as possible and certainly no later than 10 a.m. in order to insure that everyone is registered and the run/walk can begin promptly at 11:00.

Pricing: Adults (13 and older) $25, Children (12 and younger) $15, 1 Raffle Ticket $5, 3 Raffle Tickets $10. Registration fees include one t shirt per participant.
